LGNSW, in collaboration with LG Training Academy, will host a free webinar focussing on the key competencies needed for leadership and management roles and how to hone and sharpen them.

 

LG Training Academy (LGTA) is owned by Local Government Procurement (LGP).

During the webinar, we'll gauge these competencies and explore how they contribute to the evolution and growth in leadership and management roles.

This webinar is designed for professionals at all levels, aspiring leaders and managers or seasoned ones keen to enhance their leadership and management talent.

Effective leaders and managers play a crucial role in driving organisational success in today's inevitable rapidly changing paradigm. To achieve this, augmenting skills and competence with a focus on continual learning is of paramount significance. This enables and empowers them to lead teams, drive innovation, and achieve exceptional results.

Listen to the insights presented through the two segments of this webinar. Part one will elaborate on the much-needed competencies for leadership and management roles and will be presented by a seasoned Learning and Development (L&D) specialist. This will be followed by a discussion between the L&D specialist and one of the professionals from the local government sector who has been on a journey of continual learning.

Panellists will include:

  • Niv Roy – Head of Training, Local Government Procurement (Prescribed entity under Local Government Act)
  • Catherine Smith – Riverina Water County Council (Operating under the Local Government Act)

There will be time for discussion and questions towards the end of the webinar.
