LGNSW Member Value

LGNSW Member Value

LGNSW exists for its members, and we are very focused on ensuring that our members receive value from their Association.

We want members to be aware of the supports that are available to them, and to be satisfied with the services they receive. LGNSW realises that our members are constantly being asked to demonstrate the value they provide to their communities – and we are committed to the same standards of accountability.

We do this in a number of ways.

Annual Reporting

In 2015 we released an Annual Report to members for the first time, and have delivered one every year since.

Member Survey

We are constantly seeking input from members about the services they need, and working to develop and deliver them. Good examples of this are the many free workshops we ran for the sector in relation to amalgamations, as well as the free workshops run after the recent local government elections held over the last two years.

In 2016 we conducted a member survey, which showed that member perceptions of their association had shown marked improvement since 2013.

Customised Report Cards

In 2017 we drilled down further to report on the services, support and advocacy provided to individual councils. The LGNSW Report Card is an easy-to-read summary of the things LGNSW has done for its members over the past 12 months. It is one way we show you how we deliver value.

Value Audit

We recently went one step further and conducted an audit of the value provided by LGNSW to its members. Download Value Audit [pdf] which summarises the audit findings and actions LGNSW is undertaking to respond.
