The program will include: 

  • Laura Shelley, Events Team Leader and  Sara Wightman, Events and Marketing Coordinator, Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council delivering a case study of the Music by the River project displaying collaboration between council, business and the arts.
     
  • Kevin Poilly, Events and Protocol Supervisor, Blacktown City Council and Brittany Ellison, Special Events Project Officer, Blacktown City Council revealing how to turn an undesirable space into a thriving place for residents and visitors to enjoy.
     
  • Jacqui Hemsley, Manager – Cultural Services, Lake Macquarie City Council discussing the use of creativity to springboard successful activation projects in collaboration with event organisers, tourism operators and community.
     
  • Alina Azar, Manager Economic Development and Alayna Gleeson, Events Coordinator, Mid-Western Regional Council speaking on managing the corporate, civic and community expectations of the Flavours of Mudgee event.
     
  • Margaret Le, Manager Communications, Customer Service and Events, and Bridget Keating, Coordinator, Events and Sponsorship, Georges River Council presenting their creation and implementation of Event Strategies for council.
