Plans well in hand for 2026 Annual Conference
Planning is well under way for LGNSW’s Annual Conference taking place in Wollongong from 22-24 November.
Early Bird Registrations are open until 30 September, so jump online and reserve your spot if you haven’t already.
This popular gathering is our key decision-making forum, where motions are presented, debated and voted on to help define our advocacy and policy priorities for the year ahead. This year our resolutions will be particularly important as we approach the State Election in March 2027.
The portal is now open to submit your council’s motions for debate, and a reminder that we are encouraging councils to put forward no more than three motions each. This will allow us to collectively work through as many motions as possible at the conference rather than needing to defer to the Board any motions that we don’t get to in the allocated time

Under the LGNSW Rules, the latest date motions can be accepted for inclusion in the business paper is Sunday 25 October 2026.
