This partnership program between LGNSW and the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE) provides funding to address climate change risks and vulnerabilities facing NSW councils.
Objectives
The Increasing Resilience to Climate Change program has been established to encourage:
- Implementation of actions to address identified climate risks
- Regional consideration of climate change impacts in decision making
- Implementation of climate change adaptation actions beyond business as usual projects and programs
- Enhanced adaptive capacity.
How much is available?
The Climate Change Fund has provided $2.8 million of funding over three rounds.
Round 1 successful applications
Round 1 received 29 applications totalling $3.8 million. There were 10 successful applications totalling $1,011,300.
Round 2 successful applications
Round 2 received 35 applications totalling $4.8 million. There are 13 successful Round 2 projects, totalling $1,244,230.
Round 3 successful applications
28 applications were received in round 3 totalling $2,448,535. There are 8 successful projects totalling $611,700.
