Flying-fox Grant Program 2016-2019
Between 2016-19 LGNSW ran the Flying-fox Grant Program. The Program was funded by the Department of Planning Industry and Environment, administered by LGNSW, and helped councils manage flying-fox camps, consistent with the NSW Flying-fox Camp Management Policy 2015.
The Program assisted councils to:
- Implement emergency flying-fox camp management measures following significant community impacts
- Prepare and implement flying-fox camp management plans
- Conduct communication, community engagement and education activities

On 26 October 2017 the NSW Local Government Flying-fox Forum was held in Sydney supported by the NSW Flying-fox Grant Program.
