
$10 million in new EPA Litter Prevention Grants now open
Councils are invited to apply for a share of $10 million for new Litter Prevention Grants.
The grants support the new litter targets outlined in the NSW Waste and Sustainable Materials Strategy 2041 (WASM).
Grants are available to local and state government, community groups, regional waste groups, businesses and institutional partners.
Applicants can apply for a maximum of $500,000 for multiple projects across three streams:
- Stream 1: Small scale, on ground projects (project duration of 3-12 months)
- Stream 2: Strategic Development and Capacity Building (3-12 months)
- Stream 3: Strategic Implementation (maximum three years)
Expressions of Interest for the first intake are due on 1 March 2023.
