New online resources for improved urban freight planning
Transport for NSW has launched a new set of free online resources to support and incorporate urban freight planning into planning frameworks for local government.
The tools include:
- Delivery and Servicing Plan Guidance;
- Urban Freight Forecasting Model; and
- new videos to complement the Last Mile Toolkit.
Urban freight is the system and process by which goods are collected, transported, and distributed within urban centres.
A key focus for urban planners in local government is to build better connections between city functions, and to create places that inspire people to live, socialise, shop and interact within the urban environment.
