$10.3m Regional Children and Youth Wellbeing Recovery Initiative

Councils, Local Aboriginal Land Councils and other organisations can apply for grants to help children and young people aged 0–24 recover from the impacts of natural disasters and COVID-19.

The $10.3 million fund was announced by the NSW Minister for Regional Youth, with funding available from three streams of NSW and Commonwealth Government funds.

Larger grants up to $50,000, and those under $10,000, will be available to:

  • Build resilience of young people for future adverse events;
  • Support mental health and wellbeing of young people, and
  • Promote social inclusion, community connections and cultural connection.

Regional Youth Community Coordinators are available to assist regional communities to identify projects.

Applications close on 31 December 2022 or when fully allocated.
