Shoalhaven City Council: Integrated Recycling Operations - planning and implementation
Shoalhaven City Council set a target to divert 90% of all waste from landfill by 2024. Due to a lack of private recycling infrastructure for some products, Shoalhaven is diversifying its recycling infrastructure at the West Nowra precinct. Twenty projects are identifying unique solutions to each waste stream, while a Resource Recovery Learning Centre is providing a centralised hub for tours, workshops, and education.
