RH Dougherty Awards 2020 - Reporting to your Community

Reporting to your Community

Division A (population less than 30,000)

Winner: Tenterfield Shire Council – Drought Management

Judges' Comment
A thorough and comprehensive campaign by Tenterfield Council to inform the community and visitors of restrictions and the situation. It has been a challenging time for communities in the regions like Tenterfield and they deserve to win for the work they are doing to engage their community - which is very innovative for a small council. Well done.

Division B (population 30,000-70,000)

Winner: Tamworth Regional Council – My TRC Online Community

Judges' Comment
This is an excellent report demonstrating that Tamworth Council has listened and is prepared to listen and act on what their community wants and needs. This platform provides and avenue for all ages to communicate with Council. An absolutely innovative Council.

Division C (population over 70,000)

Winner: Central Coast Council – Central Coast Waterways Report Card

Judges' Comment
A very good project that helps educate the community about the impacts of their actions on local waterways. It encourages people to take responsibility and have pride in their waterways. Very impressed with the budget and internal resourcing in implementing the project. It uses a strong use of Council branding and by designing in-house there is a very clear and strong sub brand developed.
