National 2026 Climate Adaptation Conference, Newcastle
The National Adaptation Conference will be held in Newcastle, NSW from 26-28 October 2026.
Organised by the Australian Government’s National Environmental Science Program (NESP) Climate systems hub, the conference is a great opportunity to share knowledge, network and strengthen the growing community of adaptation practice and research across Australia.
It runs for three days, including plenary sessions, panel sessions and workshops addressing specific adaptation challenges.
Do you know someone making a real difference in adapting to a changing climate? The Climate Adaptation Champions Awards 2026 are celebrating the people and organisations leading the way.
Two awards are up for grabs (one for an individual and one for an organisation), celebrating inspiring action across resilient communities, thriving natural environments, climate-ready cities, powerful communication and bold innovation.
Each winner will receive one complimentary conference registration plus travel (see details in link above), so it’s worth putting your hat in the ring!
Applications close on 30 July 2026.
