Disaster Ready Fund Round 4 now open
Councils are advised that the Australian Government has opened Round 4 of the Disaster Ready Fund, with $142.5 million available nationally to support disaster resilience and risk reduction initiatives.
In NSW, the NSW Reconstruction Authority is the lead agency and will coordinate and assess all applications before submission to the Australian Government. There is a cap of 30 NSW applications (maximum two per lead organisation).
Round 4 introduces several changes, including a significantly shortened application timeframe (less than five weeks).
Applications close at 5pm (AEST) on Wednesday 1 July 2026.
