Nominate sites in your area to host EV chargers

The NSW Government is working with councils, businesses and communities to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles.

The government says its Electric Vehicle Strategy is ensuring NSW is EV ready for all drivers.

Hosting an EV charger helps meet demand and supports EV adoption. There are other benefits to communities and businesses, with increased dwell time and location visibility.

There are currently over 400 fast charging locations in NSW and more are needed across the State by 2031 to meet projected demand.

Councils play an important role in this transition and are encouraged to review the new site host page, which allows councils, businesses and property owners to express their interest in hosting charging infrastructure. This is something councils can consider for themselves and can amplify to businesses and landowners in their area.
