EOI – 2025 LGNSW Water Management Conference
LGNSW is calling for presentation proposals for the 2025 LGNSW Water Management Conference, to be held in Albury from 9-11 September 2025.
The annual LGNSW Water Management Conference presents the most current and relevant information from a local government perspective on water policy and regulation, water utility management, water security and quality and service delivery.
The conference is a major annual event that provides a dedicated forum to discuss water policy initiatives and trends, learn about the latest technical innovations and share best practice in water governance and management.
Proposals should be submitted electronically using the online Presentation Proposal Form. Please refer to the guidelines for further details before submitting your presentation proposal.
The closing date for the first round of submission proposals is 7 March 2025.
Presentations should be relevant, topical and engaging. Areas of focus and potential topics could include:
- Drought resilience activities
- Water quality and supply for rural, remote and Aboriginal communities
- Energy efficiency in water utilities
- PFAS and other contaminants
- Local Water Utility's funding models
- Cybersecurity in local water utilities
- Regional water strategies
- Town water risk reduction
- A water workforce for the future
- Implantation of regulatory reform
- Water as an economic driver for regional communities.
Presentations will ultimately be selected to align with the conference's focus areas, ensure a balanced program and engage delegates. If there is an overlap in the topics of presentation proposals, speakers may have the opportunity to participate in panel discussions.
