Batching to start on roads and transport applications

Batching of applications for assessment of Tranche 1 of the Safer Local Roads and Infrastructure Program and Tranche 4 of the Heavy Vehicle Rest Area Initiative will take place on 30 September.

The Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts advises that after 30 September, the next batch of assessments will start after 31 January 2025.

The Safer Local Roads and Infrastructure Program (SLRIP) is an application-based merit assessed program that provides funding to local, State and territory governments for eligible projects that address current and emerging priorities in road infrastructure needs.

The program focuses on road safety, productivity, bridge renewal, road resilience, road sustainability, and heavy vehicle rest areas.
