NSW Local Government Air Quality Toolkit

The NSW Local Government Air Quality Toolkit has been updated, and the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) Air Policy team is holding a live, Teams briefing session on the new Toolkit on 27 September from 10am to 11am.

The updated toolkit is now available on the EPA website.

This hour-long briefing session will be held by DCCEEW Air Policy and the toolkit lead author, Zephyr Environmental, to provide:

  • An overview of the toolkit, including purpose and content
  • Live demonstration – how to access the toolkit, new and interesting content
  • Resource Pack – how to use
  • Discussion on case studies
  • Questions and answers

The Clean Air Society of Australia and New Zealand (CASANZ) is developing a new Understanding and Managing Air Quality course, tailored for local councils and drawing on the toolkit, to be delivered online on 9 and 10 December 2024. DCCEEW Air Policy is providing a subsidy for a number of councils to receive a significant discount from the course fee. The course registration will be open on the CASANZ course offerings webpage soon.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions about the new UMAQ course and subsidy during the briefing session.

If you have any questions regarding the toolkit or would like the Teams link for the briefing session please email [email protected].
