The City of Coffs Harbour is organising the 25th Local Government Information Technology Conference at Opal Cove Resort, Coffs Harbour.

Early bird registration is available until 18 October for the conference, which runs from 27-29 November 2024.

LGIT2024 provides a forum for local government managers and support staff to network, learn and exchange ideas. The program will feature speakers from government, the private sector, online organisations, and the broader computer and communications industries.

Representatives of local, state and federal government agencies, and business corporations will be in attendance from throughout Australia.

Key topics this year will include:

  • Practical use of AI in Local Government information and communications technology (ICT)
  • Cyber-security\Cyber-resilience trends in local government
  • Latest tech Innovations for the Enterprise
  • Smart Cities and Citizen engagement
  • ICT Financial Sustainability and justifying value
  • ICT staff performance – managing an intergenerational workforce and work equity and the right to disconnect.

We invite you to submit an abstract for consideration as an oral presentation at the conference. Please email your abstract (maximum of 200 words) to the conference manager. Please also include a brief biography (two or three sentences of your career highlights to date) and your full contact details.

Free registration for the full conference will be offered to accepted presenters who are employed by a council.
