Call for Speakers at Asbestos Conference

The Australian Asbestos and Hazardous Materials Management Conference 2024 aims to foster a collaborative environment among local governments, industry and government agencies.

This event will highlight the importance of working together on innovative hazardous materials management and WHS compliance through sharing experiences, research and best practices.

Emphasising the critical role of cross-sector collaboration and community engagement in promoting environmental and public health, this is a call for speakers from diverse backgrounds who are leading the way in hazardous materials management, environmental science and WHS.

This conference offers a unique platform for learning, networking and advancing our collective efforts towards a sustainable and safe environment. Join in to share your insights and contribute to shaping a safer, more sustainable future.

The theme for the conference is Working together for a safe and healthy future.

Categories for submission are:

• Healthy homes
• Healthy workplaces
• Healthy communities
• Healthy environment.

The 2024 Conference is a hybrid event, with a live, in-person hub in the Blue Mountains, NSW. Alongside this will be a simultaneous virtual component through a dedicated conference platform.

Presentations will be 30 minutes long, including question time. Research and case studies can also be presented in a poster session format.
