Did you know that LGNSW has a number of free and interactive networks created especially for council staff?

Whatever your role at council, LGNSW has a network that can help you discuss and share issues unique to your area of expertise. These networks have proven to be particularly useful for staff to ask questions of one another, share templates and best practice advise relevant to the local government sector.

We have over 20 networks available to join, covering areas including:

  • Ageing and Disability
  • Asbestos
  • Building and Fire Safety
  • Cemeteries
  • Climate Action
  • Coastal Safety
  • Communications
  • Economic Development
  • Events
  • GIPA
  • Governance
  • Growing Greener
  • IT
  • Planning
  • Multicultural
  • Natural Resource Management
  • Night-time economy
  • Social planning
  • Sustainability
  • Swimming pools

You can view more information on each network and request to join here. New networks are regularly launched, so please keep an eye on this page for the latest updates.

Are you interested in a new network?

Following feedback from councils, we are asking if more networks are needed. An Expression of Interest (EOI) for the following proposed networks is out for your consideration. Please note: Membership in these networks is only available to NSW council staff.

If LGNSW receives sufficient interest, the following networks could be established – so register your interest now!

Caravan Parks Network
LGNSW is exploring the level of interest in a possible Caravan Park Network Group. This Network will enable council employees such as health and safety officers, planners, rangers and compliance staff to connect, share information and discuss local government issues around the regulation, maintenance and management of caravan parks.
