EOIs open for Trustees for Pat Dixon Memorial Scholarship Trust

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander councillors are invited to apply for a position as a trustee on the Cr Pat Dixon Memorial Scholarship Trust.

The Trustees assess and award the Cr Pat Dixon memorial scholarship annually to eligible Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander councillors and council staff members in NSW to undertake further study, professional development and research.

The late Cr Pat Dixon was the first Aboriginal woman elected to local government in Australia and worked tirelessly for her community and for the local government sector in general for over 17 years.

The newly appointed trustee will fill the position of an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander elected representative. The appointment is for a four-year term. The successful applicant would need to be available through the month of June for assessment of the 2023 scholarship.

To apply, please send a brief cover letter and a copy of your CV or Resume to [email protected].

For further information on the role of trustee, please contact Bronwen Regan, LGNSW Strategy Manager Social and Community, on (02) 9242 4057 or email at [email protected].

Applications close at 5pm on Sunday 30 April 2023.
