Illegal dumping and flood waste recovery grants

Up to $2 million in grants is available to support public land managers assess and clean-up illegal dumping and remaining flood-generated waste, as well as repair illegal dumping deterrence measures.

Councils located in a storm and flood declared natural disaster area (AGRN 1012, 1025, 1030 & 1034) are eligible for this grant.

The NSW Environment Protection Authority’s Illegal Dumping and Flood Waste Recovery Program grant program aims to resolve remaining waste issues after the initial emergency clean-up phase that are not eligible for other government funding sources.

The program will complement existing clean-up programs, which are closing, and provide longer-term support for waste issues that are now emerging.

Information and how to apply

Applications to the program will be via SmartyGrants and close at 5.00pm on Wednesday 19 April 2023.
