Cyber Security Awareness Training
Cyber Security NSW offers "Essentials" Cyber Security Awareness training, available to all council staff.
Training Types
The training is tailored to three user groups:
- Essentials Standard for staff and contractors
- Essentials Plus for Critical Business Areas and staff with privileged access (such as IT administrators)
- Essentials Premium for Executive staff
Delivery Model
The three training types are available as live online sessions or self-paced online e-modules (the e-module must be hosted on your council’s LMS.

Register as a Training Coordinator for your Council
To roll out training at your council, we require a nominated training coordinator to coordinate with Cyber Security NSW. To register to roll out the training on behalf of your council, please complete our Expression of Interest form.
Cyber Security NSW will be in contact to share an info pack with session registration links, testing access to the e-module and to answer any training questions.
