Native Title for Council Executives webinar

Crown Lands invites council General Managers and members of their Executive teams to attend an Introduction to Native Title for Council Executives webinar in partnership with the Institute of Community Directors Australia. 

Councils are responsible for native title compliance for council-managed Crown land under the Crown Land Management Act 2016 and must fulfil legislative requirements within the Native Title Act 1993. 

In this webinar you will learn about council responsibilities, native title rights, compensation for native title, when to seek advice from your native title manager, how to validate council activities under the Native Title Act 1993, Indigenous Land Use Agreements, how best to identify and work with the native title holders in your local government area.
