Inquiry into flammable cladding and private certification
The NSW Upper House Public Accountability Committee will report on flammable cladding and private certification as part of a further inquiry into the regulation of building standards.
According to the terms of reference, this Inquiry will focus on:
- the cost, effectiveness and safety concerns arising from the use of flammable cladding,
- private certification of and engineering reports for construction projects, and
- any other related matter.
(Note: This inquiry follows a 2019 Inquiry by the Public Accountability Committee into building standards.)
Submissions close 29 August 2021. The Committee is inviting all councils to make a submission.
