EOI LGNSW Northern Basin Councils Water Representative
LGNSW is seeking expressions of interest from elected members to act as a representative for all Northern Basin councils to provide feedback to the NSW Government about water-related matters.
The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE) is engaging with stakeholders to better understand the challenges about town water and water security affecting communities in the Northern Basin. The successful applicant will act as LGNSW’s representative in discussions with DPIE to help them develop policy solutions to the issues facing councils across the Northern Basin.
Candidates with experience in local government water utilities and knowledge of the issues facing the sector and best practice in water utility policy are strongly encouraged to apply.
Applications should include a short resume and an application letter addressing the selection criteria:
- experience in water utilities and related issues
- an ability to report their views and those of the wider community to the department
- an ability to give feedback from meetings with DPIE to LGNSW staff.
Applications must be submitted to LGNSW by Wednesday 4 August, 2021.
