Smart Places Acceleration Program and Masterclasses
The NSW Government has established the Smart Places Acceleration Program, committing to $45 million in funding over three years to accelerate the development of smart places across NSW.
Through the Program, the NSW Government is helping place owners – including councils, government agencies, property owners, and regional organisations – apply innovative smart technologies and capabilities that can, for example, lead to better use of infrastructure, service delivery efficiencies and better customer outcomes across metropolitan and regional NSW.
For more information on eligibility requirements and how to submit an expression of interest for a proposed initiative, please visit the DPIE website.
DPIE is also running a series of Masterclasses to understand the core drivers of human trust, privacy, data management and cyber security and discuss how Government might incorporate these principles in driving better engagement with communities about smart places.
