Natural Disaster Recovery
LGNSW welcomes the government’s commitment to disaster recovery funding:
- $910.9 million to restoring essential public and road assets damaged by natural disasters, including Australian Government Contributions
- $241.1 million over two years to 2027-28 to continue the Resilient Homes Program (Northern Rivers), to enable flood tolerance for existing houses.
- $73.1 million to deliver critical repairs to damaged flood management assets across the Hunter.
