Award Recipients at the 2023 Annual Conference
LGNSW was delighted to present during the 2023 Annual Conference the Outstanding Service Awards, where councillors are recognised for their achievements in local government.
Lifetime Achievement Award
This award is for outstanding contributions to local government during a councillor’s tenure, which is recommended and endorsed by the LGNSW Board. There were two awards made in 2023. You can see past recipients by downloading the Honour Roll.
Statewide Mutual board member and Tweed Shire Council General Manager Troy Green, LGNSW President Darriea Cr Turley AM, and Cr Nigel Judd OAM.

Ken Keith AOM (Parkes Shire Council) - Lifetime Achievement Award Winner.
The Emeritus Mayor award acknowledges the service of retired mayors who have served a minimum of five years as a mayor. This title cannot be bestowed upon someone while still in office.

Certificate of Service Awards
This award is for an appreciation of long and loyal service and notable contribution to a local government and/or the local government sector.

Cr Eva Campbell (Camden Council) - 25 Year Certificate of Service
Cr Dianna Baker (Inverell Shire Council) - 20 Year Certificate of Service
Cr Nuatali Nelmes (City of Newcastle) - 15 Year Certificate of Service
* A 15 Year Certificate of Service was also awarded to Cr Matthew Hannan (Berrigan Shire Council), although he did not attend the Conference Dinner.
