Water Management  

Bronze Award sponsored by the Water Directorate.

 

This award recognises excellence in practical solutions for sustainable water management. The award incorporates a wide range of water management initiatives including, but not limited to:

• Water savings achieved in the provision of water supply and sewerage services by local water utilities through demand and/or supply side projects/measures. Nominations will demonstrate (actual or forecast) savings per year.
• Integrated water management initiatives to improve efficiency and/or water quality (recycling or stormwater harvesting schemes; retrofitting or constructing water efficient buildings and precincts; retrofitting or constructing new water/wastewater treatment facilities to deliver better environmental outcomes; water sensitive urban design).
• Water and sewerage projects that provide for enhanced environmental outcomes that would not have otherwise been achieved without the completion of the water or sewer related project.
