Sustainable Choice provides member councils with in–house training sustainable procurement sessions, tailored to suit all needs.
Who Should Attend?
The course is designed for all council staff - from senior managers and finance, to engineering and asset management, environmental staff, purchasing, clerical, stores and outdoor staff. No previous training in procurement is necessary.
What Does the Course Aim to Achieve?
Training is designed to improve participants’ knowledge of sustainable procurement, develop skills to identify sustainable products, and overcome common barriers. The course will help staff achieve positive outcomes for council – from reduced costs to social and environmental benefits.

- How to integrate sustainable procurement into council.
- Assessing supplier claims.
- Life cycle costing and value for money.
